Food with a Conscience and Gate Gourmet have partnered in opening a cutting-edge kosher kitchen in Montreal, to serve the needs of our discerning consumers.
Food with a Conscience has actively increased the bar on hygiene and nutrition surrounding airline food offerings. Our food excludes unnecessary food additives, preservatives, artificial sweeteners, msg and margarine. Our offerings are healthier due to a reduction of sodium and fat and a greater
use of whole grain products where possible.
The rapid spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) has caught the global economy and businesses largely off-guard. Not so for many in the food industry, especially companies such as Food with A Conscience who had the most rigorous safety precautions already in place.
Before entering our kitchen, everyone was thoroughly trained in the highest standards of cleanliness during food preparation, cooking and packaging. We were not caught off-guard.
Given that, we have implemented even more stringent measures:
In addition to our normal rigorous cleaning standards, we have increased the frequency of disinfecting high-touch surfaces throughout our kitchen
All employees are regularly reminded of our hand washing and hygiene protocols
We are closely following the recommendations of the Federal Government, PHAC (Public Health Agency of Canada) and local health authorities to adapt our procedures as necessary.
It is our hope that through our website, other companies will find that implementing such strict health and safety measures will only benefit them.
